Synopsis:
Deep in the remote Arkansas backwoods, a father passes on the traditions of the Ozark mountain men to his 5 year-old son. Under his strict and cruel guidance, young Lucas learns to protect the family land at all costs, and hones the skills of the hunt that have been handed down from generation to generation. But their prey is no ordinary game. . . because the McGavins are hunting trespassers!

REVIEW:
Let me throw a name at you, it's Dennis Smithers Jr. It could be any name, but thats the name I chose. Why you ask? Because I want you to remember this name, you will be hearing it again! I have watched many low budget horror flicks over the years and some look, well, low budget! But every now and then, along comes a gem, a film, from someone that can take a quarter and stretch it and squeeze it until the eagle screams! Dennis is one of those people.
Now, I need you to remember when you get this film (and if you like Indi horror flicks, your gonna get it!) that it is still a low budget movie, and with low budget films, comes low budget acting. I will not tell you that the acting was bad in this film, it was'nt, it was'nt great, it was'nt horrible. As a matter of fact, Dennis Smithers Sr. shines throughout the film. Sr. does a splendid job of acting and he has no problem convincing you that he would just as soon kill you, as look at you! So what did I mean by low budget acting? As in many indi films you have to deal with many actors that actually act, like thier acting! Nuff said.
Smithers Jr. does a wonderful job with this picture. The story line is about your typical back-woods psyco killer, and if thats what your after, Jr. dishes it out, one bloody murder after another! The movie has a twist ending that I was not expecting and without giving it away, I will simply leave it at, I was pleased with the outcome.
As long as Dennis Smithers Jr. aatays true to himself and true to his film making, you can bet that this is one indi film maker that we will all be hearing from again. I look forward to his next film. Get " A Bothered Conscience " and see for yourself!
