Screams of Terror Interviews

Mother Grim

The pictures found in this interview are of the Mother Grim Trading cards available at www.mothergrim.com or at your local comic book store!

SOT:  What or whom are some of your influences?

Mother Grim: Although I’m not in the music business now, a lot of my early influences have been from individuals or groups within the music business, such as Janis Joplin for her passion and intensity in which she expressed herself, and the Doors for the mission of enlightenment that they had with their words and music, also for their views and symbolisms, and the incredible poetry of Jim Morrison.  As for other influences:  I read so many different types of occult, mystical books, and books on extraterrestrials, and the supernatural, so of course these all influence my thoughts and attitudes.

SOT: What’s it like being the star of your own comic book series?

Mother Grim: I can pretty much program my destiny.

SOT: Can you tell us a little about who Mother Grim is?

Mother Grim: Mother Grim is a gothic Atlantean princess turned vampire by a viral exposure.  She is living in the present day, and is in the film and music business with her mostly female clan of  hot looking babes.  They protect the world from evil.

SOT:  When did you decide that you wanted to be a Horror model, and what helped you make that decision?

Mother Grim: It’s not like I decided that I wanted to be a horror model, but I came up with this really cool character in this super cool story, and decided to run with it.  The story has evolved over the life of the character, and is influenced by my readings in the fields of the occult/mysticism.

SOT:  What are some of the current projects that you are working on?

Mother Grim: We’re currently working on the  3rd Mother Grim comic book.  This one will have a much more dark, goth look to it, and it is an introduction to the Mother Grim movie, of which I am currently working on the script for.  The movie is very original, and is being written as a sexy, gothic, action, fantasy, horror  movie.  Our Afterlife trading cards just came out, we’ll be working on set # 2 soon.  Plans for a Mother Grim doll are underway, new tee shirts, and lots more exciting  things going on here.

SOT:  What is your favorite horror movie?  Book?

Mother Grim: I don’t have a favorite, but I have a # of ones I liked very much, such as Francis Ford Coppola’s Dracula, Interview with a Vampire, From Dusk till Dawn, Underworld, The Black Scorpion, and of course the Exorcist.  I don’t think I’ve ever read a horror book.

SOT:  Could you tell our readers where they should go to get your posters, pictures and other related items?

Mother Grim: Readers can purchase Mother Grim merchandise from our website, www.mothergrim.com, or pick some up from me when I make appearances(they are  listed on the website), or check your local comic book store for Mother Grim trading cards, or  comic books.  Our website is currently undergoing remodeling, we expect it to be finished by February…

SOT:  What’s a day in the life of a comic book heroine like?

Mother Grim: A day in my life is very busy, busy.  I get up early in the morning, sometimes by 5 or 6 and try to accomplish as much of  my insurmountable list as possible.  I don’t want to wake up so early, but my body seems programmed to do so, not matter what time I get to bed at night.   I’m wearing many different hats, business wise, right now.  While I work, I sing.   I love to sing.  I also work out at the gym 3 or more days a week.  I  try to do magnetic hsin tao exercises, and meditation on a daily basis, and I also work to learn new things, and improve upon the skills I already have, on a regular basis.

SOT:  You are a very beautiful woman, and I am sure that you are aware that men idolize you, how do you feel about being a "sex symbol?"

Mother Grim: Being a sex symbol doesn’t really do anything for me.  To me, we are all equal.   Of course, I know that being a sex symbol, puts one in a position of power.

SOT:  Have you ever modeled with any other famous horror models, if so who?

Mother Grim: No.

SOT: What do you feel is your sexiest body part? Why?

Mother Grim: I’ve been blessed with lots of sexy body parts.  I think my face is my favorite.  I have a unique facial structure, and an aristocratic profile.

SOT:  Are you married?  Single?  Dating?

Mother Grim: I’m single, and I like being by myself.

SOT:  What has been the highest point of your career so far?

Mother Grim: I haven’t reached the highest point yet.

SOT:  Where do you see yourself in the future?

Mother Grim: Producing, writing, and starring in films, singing and songwriting, and creating and developing new ventures.

SOT:  What do you like to do to relax?  Any hobbies?

Mother Grim: Sleep, read, take walks, watch movies, go to the opera, ballet, symphonies, take classes, go dancing, sing.

SOT:  I am sure that you have to do a lot of appearances at Conventions, how do you juggle your time to get a little relaxation time for yourself?

Mother Grim: 2001 and 2002 I did a lot of appearances, and it was too much.  I was also taking a number of classes a week.  I couldn’t give anything the amount of time, or attention needed, henceforth, a number of areas of my life suffered neglect.  I decided to limit my appearances during 2003 and 2004 so I could focus on the Mother Grim movie, music,  writing, and expanding my consciousness.

SOT:  I once thought of creating a comic book and I am sure many folks out there have thought or are thinking the same thing.  What advise would you give these folks?

Mother Grim: Come up with a good, solid story, and get a great illustrator, and stick with it.  It’s a tough business for independents to break into.

SOT:  I ask all the people that I interview for an autographed picture for the wall of fame here at the Screams of Terror Office, in your case I would like to know if I can get a autographed Origin Mother Grim Comic (I’ll be happy to buy the book!)?

Mother Grim: Of course, I’ll send you a pack of trading cards in addition to the comic.

SOT:  I would like to thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to talk to me, it has been a real pleasure and an honor, is there anything else that you would like to add or say to your fans and the readers here at Screams of Terror?

Mother Grim: It’s been a pleasure.  Yes I’d like to say:  Keep your eyes on Mother Grim.  You never know what lies around the bend.

SOT:  You can guarantee that we will be keeping our eyes on you Mother Grim, and we can’t wait to see the Mother Grim movie in the near future!
