Inhotep
By: Lanaia Lee

We search in the hot desert for a certain tomb
Searching high and low hoping our endeavors will pay off
We hope to find the mummy of a special man within the pyramid's womb
The sand we dig in makes our job easier by being soft.

The search for a scholar from ancient times
A man from one of the first dynasties from long, long ago
We are very careful as to where we dig, walk, or step
So much mystery here no wonder everyone feels some kind of fright.

The pyramids cast a shadow under the moonlit sky
A warm desert breeze blows
All of a sudden I hear an excited cry
He thinks he's found the sight, this makes him smile and glow.

Wondering if the Egyptian curse we hear about this place are really true?
The one about if you desiccate the tomb you will suffer a terrible fate
We are so excited me and my crew
The sarcophagus and tomb are in such a perfect state.
