Screams of Terror Interviews Dark Poet – Lanaia Lee SOT: What or whom are some of your influences? Lanaia Lee: My influences in my
writing are basically Poe. He is morbidly refreshing. Lanaia Lee: I like to write poetry
because it flows. It comes to me as natural as breathing. Lanaia Lee: I became a horror author
because I feel really confident in this type genre. I was raised by my
grandmother who professed to be a witch so I was raised with the supernatural
and I'm very comfy here. Lanaia Lee: I get a lot of
inspiration to write from true things that actually happened to me. Believe you
me I was just as surprised as everyone else when I discovered this literary
talent. Lanaia Lee: I really don't prefer writing horror poetry
over dark poetry. Both are good. It more or less depends on my mood I guess. Lanaia Lee: I am currently working on
winding up my second book. Lanaia Lee: Actually I have two
favorite movies the first being the original DRACULA with the only true Dracula,
Bela Lugosi and TITANIC,
the old one with Barbara Stanywick and Clifton Webb. I love this old movie because, you may think
I'm weird, but I believe in a previous life I died here. Lanaia Lee: All my work is available through Screams of

writer. Messing around one day I found I could write and I enjoyed it! So now here I am Lanaia Lee: A day in my life is very
interesting. I'm in a wheelchair from a stroke I had at 35. My husband is also
in a wheelchair from a motorcycle accident he sustained at 25. We live totally
on our own so each day is a very unique challenge. Lanaia Lee: One of my favorite
authors is Carl Merrit Fleet
of Angels and Vincent Rosetti he is the voice of
horror radio C. E. R. K. He is also a very good poet. I have worked with both
and it was and is an honor. Lanaia Lee: I am an old married lady
for the third and last time. David and I have been married ten years. Lanaia Lee: I think being published. The realization that I posses a talent that good. I would
