Synopsis:

With tongue so oft planted firmly in cheek, the story follows the exploits of a bumbling investigative journalist as he struggles to deduce the truth behind the author, H.P. Lovecraft and his work. Along the way, stories unfold, pulling him deeper into the mysterious and macabre world of Lovecraft. Will the journalist finally prevail or will he end up without a clue as usual? One thing's for sure: the truth is out there... he's just not entirely sure where.

REVIEW:

I truly enjoyed this comic horrorfest with it's irreverent, mocumentary styled tribute to the great H.P. Lovecraft. The acting, in most cases, was refreshingly good for an indi film as was the filmography, no thrown together overnight film here. One of the shorts, The Re-Penetrator, takes a jab at one of my all time favorite films, The Re-Animator. I need only say that if this spoof was a part of the original movie it would probably never leave my DVD player!

I highly recommend this film for all of you lovers of comic horror. "Lovecracked! The Movie" is bound to become a cult favorite, standing proud with the likes of Monty Python, "The Rutles" and "This Is Spinal Tap". This video comes with plenty of extras, but be forewarned, "The Voice Inside" will surely knock you off your couch!
